Loans that conform to Fannie Mae credit considerations generally have stricter credit requirements than government backed mortgage loans, and therefore it may be more difficult for some borrowers to qualify.

Below are some of the usual requirements for a conforming loan:

  • Judgments should be paid.
  • Clean credit for at least 2 years.
